This letterbox is part of the GO and Dig It Up! program. It will be available from June 1, 2013 - August 18, 2013. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

GO and Dig It Up! uses "garden plots" – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into the program Gardener's Journal, available at any York County library.

The letterbox is located at John C. Rudy County Park and may be accessed from the Mundis Race Road entrance. GO York level of difficulty = Moderate

- Begin at the large sign that reads “Heritage Rail Trail.”
- Walk under the Heritage Rail Trail sign, continuing down the paved path and through the small fence-row of trees.
- Continue walking straight through the 4-way intersection.
- You should see a soccer field on the left and an entrance road on the right.
- Continue down the paved trail until you see a grove of trees. Look to your right. Across the road is the “Make a Wish” forest sign.
- Carefully cross the road walking between the “Make a Wish” sign and the park bench. Be sure to look both ways before crossing!
- Walk through the pine trees with the split rail fence to your left.
- Look for a large barn and a stone house. Need information on any of the county parks? Grab some brochures at the stone house.
- Walk between both buildings looking for a dark green shed and beyond to the vegetable garden. The post will be near a patch of the item for which it is named.
- Enjoy the rest of the garden and return the way you came.
