This letterbox is part of the GO and Dig It Up! program. It will be available from June 1, 2013 - August 18, 2013. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.
GO and Dig It Up! uses "garden plots" – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into the program Gardener's Journal, available at any York County library.
The letterbox is located at Hopewell Township Park. GO York level of difficulty = Moderate
- From the bulletin bard, walk to the opposite end of the parking area and turn left on Tree Swallow trail.
- Continue following Tree Swallow Trail until you arrive at the next trail intersection (Blue Bird Trail). Proceed straight.
- Turn right and follow Blue Bird Trail.
- Look for the Sharp Eared Owl viewing platform on your left. The post you seek is located on the deck.
- Reverse the directions to return to the parking area.
