This letterbox is part of the GO and Dig It Up! program. It will be available from June 1, 2013 - August 18, 2013. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.
GO and Dig It Up! uses "garden plots" – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into the program Gardener's Journal, available at any York County library.
The letterbox is located at Indian Steps Museum (Lower Chanceford Township). GO York level of difficulty = Easy
- Start in the parking lot and locate two cement pillars. Walk past the pillars down the gravel trail toward the museum.
- Go between the museum (on right) and the fireplace (on left).
- Continue following the trail to a small stream.
- Cross the metal bridge and make a right, walking along the stream. A large holly tree will be on your left.
- Walk between two large trees and continue along the stream bank until the next bridge. Cross this wooden bridge.
- The post will be near the first tree on your left.
- Walk back the way you came.
