This letterbox is part of the GO and Dig It Up! program. It will be available from June 1, 2013 - August 18, 2013. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.
GO and Dig It Up! uses "garden plots" – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into the program Gardener's Journal, available at any York County library.
The letterbox is located at Penn Township Community Park. GO York level of difficulty = Easy
- Begin in the back parking lot close to the playground.
- Walk the brick path to the playground. Spend some time playing at this great facility!
- Exit the playground at the two benches that are labeled “Hanover Cold Storage” and Joe Corbi’s Pizza Fund.
- Turn right and walk toward the pavilion with a blue roof.
- Just before you reach the pavilion, turn right and walk around the horseshoe pits.
- Look for two pine trees beyond the horseshoe pits and behind the outfield fence. The post will be located nearby.
- Return to the parking area the way you came.
