This letterbox is part of the GO and Dig It Up! program. It will be available from June 1, 2013 - August 18, 2013. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.
GO and Dig It Up! uses "garden plots" â wooden posts with engraved plates on them â instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into the program Gardener's Journal, available at any York County library.
The letterbox is located at William H. Kain County Par and may be accessed from the South George Street Parking Area. GO York level of difficulty = Hard
- Start at the parking lot and follow the markers for trail #2.
- Continue following the trail with the road on your right and Lake Williams on your left.
- At the âTâ in the trail turn left continuing on trail #2.
- Turn right on trail #2 C and follow through the pine trees.
- Cross two small streams and continue on trail #2 C.
- Stay on trail #2C as you cross two wooden bridges. You will continue up some small hills and around a few corners.
- Where the trail widens you will find the post.
- Return to the parking area the way you came.
