**6/24/13 This box is now retired.**

The newest round of the box of the month is under way...

It is still the same idea- a new box every month for the year, from a different carver around the United States. The box will be in place from ~ the 1st through the ~25th each month-depending on weather, the mail etc. The final box (my own) will be permanently placed at the final location.

This year I am doing it a little differently. You will not be going to the same location each month for the new box, but rather the same trail and starting from different locations. The trail will be the Airline Trail. It runs through Lebanon and has many road crossings. Each month I will start you from a new crossing and head to a different spot on the trail.

So, for the fifth letterbox in this series, make your way to the Airline Trail crossing on Cook Hill Road in Lebanon. Park off of the road and head NORTH on the trail.

Head around the temporary orange fencing.

Pass the cow barns-where we saw three of them out playing today.

Continue on and you will come to a large swamp on the right. Look high up in the dead trees and you will see the nesting Herons.

Cross a temporary metal bridge and come to a four way intersection.

At the intersection go left for just a few feet. You will see a good size three sister tree with a fence attached to it on your right.

Stop and go to the two similar size rocks to the right of the tree.

Look between and behind them for the Scootin' Scutes letterbox by Batty Girl of TX.

This is a great carve and not to be missed.

Please be sure to hide the box well when you are done. It has many more stops to make before it gets home and back to its owner.

Thanks,
Flutterby
