This stamp was originally carved for a meet asking for stamps that reflected your mishaps when letterboxing but after I carved it, those requirements changed. So we've been holding on to this stamp but that just doesn't seem right. It needs to be shared!
For us, it seems that we tend to have car trouble when letterboxing. 1st my son's fingers got caught in the car door - blood everywhere, next it was a broken heater hose when a tow truck pulled us out of the snow and then our transmission in Port Hope. That tow home alone was over $300.00. It's getting to be an expensive hobby. :) Just my luck, I always tell my husband, "don't worry, this box is going to be quick!" But then 'something' happens. **
So for this box, no games, no puzzles. Just a quick box.
To find this box make your way to the roadside park just South of Port Sanilac on M-25. The park sign says "Honoring Horatic S. Earle". Locate the 'stairs to the lake' and walk down to the final landing. The box can be found under the North West corner of this landing.
Please if you will put it back exactly where you found it between the two wooded 'truss like types of planks' so it doesn't float away. Re cover with leaves.
Hope this box was a "quick one for you". Maybe you can even bring a picnic, sit a spell and enjoy the view!
