Huguenot Park
10901 Robious Rd.
North Chesterfield 23235

Have you ever had a song stuck in your head and you could not get it out of your head?
I have devoted this letterbox to a song that gets stuck in my head EVERY time I am on the trail
stamping into a logbook, following clues, checking in tree hollows...
I have looked into this phenomenon (no pun intended) and it indeed has a title AND it has been studied by psychologists, it is called an earworm.
This is my first plant so I felt that it was appropriate to dedicate a box to a song that has stuck w/ me from the very first box find to my most recent finds.

Huguenot Park in N. Chesterfield is where this box is planted.
Once you arrive at the park, drive until you see a playground and find a parking spot.
Your journey will begin on the path located on the RIGHT side of the playground.
Mile marker 1 ¾ will greet you once you step upon the path.
Follow this shaded path.
There is a pine tree standing in the middle of your path
Continue on this path
Consider what the grey sign post is telling you to do, especially if you want to find Rockwell's earworm.
Continue on this path.
Shelter #2 sign will be directing you... follow that pathway.
I'm not playing tricks on you... Whoa Oh Ohhh.
Under your feet you will see an average cement tunnel w/ an average length...hey man, it pays the price...Whoa Oh Ohhh
To the left of the path about 15 steps from the cement tunnel you will finally find some privacy.
Walk into the woods, it's like you're in the Twilight zone! Whooa oh Ohh
(be cautious there is a small hole in the ground near the beginning of the path)

Continue walking until a large pine tree is in the center of your path.
Once you go around the large pine tree you will see a short tree w/ multiple small trunk like, windy branches.
Once you locate this twisty looking tree you should see a short tree stump and inside this short tree stump Rockwell's Earworm is tucked away!

I always feel like somebody's watching me!

Rockwell - Somebody's Watching Me - Look up the song on Youtube before you head out on your trek. (it may help you appreciate the quirkiness of this post)
And like in Mark Twain's 1876 Literary Nightmare short story, this diabolical jingle may transfer to you and forever get
stuck in your head when you are out hunting or planting future letterboxes!!

Please re-hide well and give it a leaf/bark blessing if needed!

The original location for Rockwell's Earworm changed due to the tree it was placed in, flooded out.
These clues reflect it's permanent home.

P.S. I have 3 other boxes in the area as well!
