Start at Connecticut Valley Hospital Cemetery in Middletown, CT on Silvermine Rd. between Silver St. and Bow Lane.
Park along the road and head to the Connecticut Valley Hospital Cemetery Directory stone monument.
Use the directory to locate the final resting place of "Grandfather Jim".
From Grandfather Jim's marker walk 21 paces towards the wood.
At the cedar at the edge of the wood, turn left.
Walk 8 paces to the 1st maple.
Look under the large rock tucked in the roots.
Please rehide very well! The cemetery is kept well landscaped and a letterbox has already vanished from the area.
While you're there, you might want to look for a "nut".
Note: Find within the box a URL which will lead you to more information about the mystery of Grandfather Jim.
