From Rt. 17M in Monroe take Lakes Rd. towards Greenwood Lake. After the second lake, continue straight through a yellow blinking light. You will continue approx. 2 miles when you will see the hikers crossing sign designating the Appalachian Trail. You will enter the trail on your left.

This is a moderate hike. Follow the 2"x 6" white trail markings over a foot bridge. If you continue following this trail, it will lead you to a waterfall. After you have taken advantage of a great photo op, continue up the narrow, steep rock stair ledge to the top of the falls. Continue following the trail until you must cross over the stream bed. If you have kids with you, it is great to take off shoes, play in the water and find some frogs and crayfish. BUT...Depending on the season, there may/may not be water. After you have crossed the stream bed (Still following the white blazes) you will immediately climb a slight hill. At the top, you will see a slender tree to your left with 3 blue trail markings on it. Follow this trail to the next blue marking on a tree and then begin searching. Keep in mind this was planted by a group of 10 year olds excited to be planting their first box.

We hope you enjoy your hike. It took us about 30 minutes to get there from the road (including distractions of course!!)
