1. park in the Del Taco Parking lot.
2. Proceed along the side walk until you come to the Oso Creek Trail Sign on Marguerite Parkway/ Near Estancia. The sign is located south of Del Taco.
3. Follow the sign to the paved trail access. There will be a creek on the right and a slope on the left.
4.Follow the trail signs - pass the small waterfalls on the right.
5. Continue walking about 10 minutes until you come to another Oso Creek trail sign. Follow the sign to Newhart School, which will lead off the main trail on the left.
6. Turn left when you reach the sidewalk parallel to the street.
Proceed to the crosswalk and cross the street so you are on the side with El Pollo Loco.
7. While facing the shopping center- Walk East (To Your Right) crossing over the bridge.
8. Once you have crossed over the bridge, follow the trail sign to Oso Creek Trail, Turn left onto the paved path.
9. Follow the path along the creek. the creek is now on your left side.
10. You will come upon an Oso Creek Trail Pillar/Sign- continue straight along this path.
11. Pass the zero mile marker on the right.
12. Pass the 1997 Tree Pillar of Volunteerism.
13. Stop at the Oso Creek Trail Sign and Trail Marker.
14. Turn Left into the Celebration Garden.
15. Walk into the park and follow the blue mosaic path on your right.
16. Find the Mission Pillar.
17. Staying on the mosaic path- Take 26 steps past the Mission Pillar.
18. Stay on the mosaic trail-passing the dated pillars.
19. pass the 2006 Pillar
20. Find the mosaic sun with two benches in the courtyard area.
21. Letterbox is tucked under the bench on the right hand side.
This about a 1.5 mile walk round trip- easy- beautiful and scenic. You won't be sorry. Pack a picnic in and enjoy the Celebration Garden.
