Start in the main Penwood State Parking lot off route 185. Face the "Penwood"rock, placed by a "great lover of nature", and take the asphalt path to your left. Follow this path for a little while keeping an eye out for a red trail marker on the right. Take this path and follow it uphill until you come to an intersection with a purple trail straight and blue trail to the left and right. Take the blue trail left and as you head up this steep hill look for a subtle winding trail on the left directly across from a blue trail marker. Follow this path until you come to a cement block with a ghost painted on it that marks the highest point in Penwood Park. Continue northward along the ridge. You will be off thetrail at this point, stepping over fallen trees and broken branches, until the ridge starts to dip down into a clearing. Here you will look for an average sizedyet monstruous looking tree, with 2 long arms and at least 6 legs, perched upon a pile of rocks. Once at this tree turn 90ยบ in a westerly direction and proceed carefully down the steep hill (Caution: not for the faint of heart, the very young or the very old). You will see ahead of you a large rock face that has shed more than a few stones over the years. Carefully walk on these fallenstones hugging the rock face until you see a tree with a symbol carved in it. At the base of this tree you will find your prize. Don't forget to continue down the blue trail to lake Victoria and then loop back towards the parking lot on the yellow trail to appreciate some of the beautiful views Penwood State Park has to offer.
