Saddle Mountain View
(This is a series of three boxes, #1 Cal-Nev-Ari, #2 Christmas Tree Pass, and #3 Laughlin, honoring those special people in our lives--FRIENDS--who we choose!)
Continue south on Hwy 95 to Christmas Tree Pass (another letter box is hidden at this entrance). Christmas Tree Pass is a graded dirt road that is passable by most types of vehicle. After traveling for 8.0 miles, start looking for Lake Mead Recreational sign. At 8.8 miles, park at the lookout on the right. Ahead there is a wooden barrier blocking the path for vehicles. However pedestrians can walk through easily. Walk to the post that faces "Saddle Mountain". To your immediate right spy the juniper with a SPOR below it.
Be aware of muggles; be on the lookout for scorpions and snakes. Stick around for a while to enjoy the fabulous views.
