Alive and well on June 2017
In honor of Azroadie's recent milestone birthday this box was planted to combine his new age and his love of Rt. 66.
I-40, exit # 211, head West to Leupp Road along Townsend-Winona Rd, approximately 2 miles. Turn Right on Leupp Road (CR 505), signed further down the road. Drive approximately 4.3 miles (couldn't hide at exactly 4 miles) and park on the Right shoulder of the road, in front of mm 433.
Update 4/19/2014 - message received that the gate is closed. Box was available by crossing (carefully) a hip-high barbed wire fence.
Update June 2017 - gate can be opened. Brown stake has been run over, is laying on the ground.
Clues:
Walk through open gate, heading East, past a brown road stake, labeled #FS9125Q.
Continue past the first group of Junipers on the Right side to a single Juniper, approximately 10 ft from Right edge of dirt road.
Walk a few more steps to the East edge of the tree and sight at 210 degrees.
Walk to the Juniper at 210 degrees that is up against the fence line.
The box is on the South side of the tree at its base behind wood and a rock.
Please be sure the contents are double-ziplocked when you put them back (i.e. Stamp and log book in separate bags, with both bags in the larger ziploc bag, and put all of it INSIDE the box. Please rehide well behind the rock and wood with some plant debris covering so it cannot be seen from any direction.
