A hikers paradise. An interesting area for hiking close to civilization.
East of the Holiday Inn on Gurley St is Walker Rd. with a sign for Lynx Lake Recreation Area. Follow Walker south to the entrance of the recreation area. Continue on the dirt road. You will cross a cattle guard, an entrance to Lynx Creek Ruin, another cattle guard, and a parking area for trail heads. Keep on the dirt road for about 1 mile to the end and park at the far end of the parking area at an information map and a trail head. To your left will be the boulders marking the trail. Between the big red one and the not so big green one is the perfect hidey hole for the box. It’s also a great hideout for critters so be careful when you dig around in there.
