On a chilly day right in the middle of Girl Scout cookie season, Troop 2690 went for a visit to Lake Towhee.
After we parked in the lot next to the playground, everyone couldn't resist a quick swing on the swing sets, then we decided to walk toward the lake to see what was in the little red house.
Upon exiting we followed the tree line to the right, spotting a pair of pine trees, then continued on westward.
We found a really good spot to turn north just before a stone wall to continue our stroll. As we went downhill, we noticed yellow blazes on a few trees; the second blaze we saw was on a much larger tree than the first blaze. We stopped at that larger tree, and since we were thinking about cookies, we took a baker’s dozen steps to get to the hole that the Keebler Elves could live in. Don’t disturb their cookie baking if you find a box there!
