Just west of the small town of Dubina is one of the few remaining iron bridges in Fayette County. The Piano Bridge, so named because of musical notes it once sounded when traversed by wagon or auto, was built in 1885 and restored in 2012. It is along the route of the Painted Churches between Dubina and High Hill and worth a stop to admire, and find this box.
Directions:
From I10 in Schulenburg go east on I10 for a few miles then northeast on Hwy 90 for 1 mile. Go north on FM 1383 for about 2 miles to Dubina and turn left on Piano Bridge Road. Go 0.6 miles on the gravel road to the Piano Bridge and park on side of road just before crossing.
Clues:
Walk around left side of bridge and go under to the right side. Look up between the bridge and concrete foundation about 1 foot in for the minibox. NOTE: It has been reported that there is now a barbed-wire fence that has to be crossed on the left side, so you can either do that or try to reach the box from the bridge by reaching down and under.
