Road work has recently been done here. Most of the large rocks have been removed. The box may no longer be here.
Harley Kinkade was an early resident of the Wapiti Valley west of Cody. The firehall located in Wapiti is named for him. To find the letterbox, drive west on the Yellowstone Highway from Cody about 18 miles. It's a beautiful drive past Buffalo Bill Dam and Reservoir and on the way to Yellowstone. Turn right on Road 6GV. The firehall is immediately on your left. Look for rocks on the south side of the parking lot. Find the biggest rock. Under a pile of rocks just to the west side of this rock is the letterbox.
