This cache is a letterbox hybrid. Not at the posted coordinates and the final has a stamp that needs to stay with the container.

For this holiday season we, Fanasfreaks and Davidandbritt, wanted to do something special for all our fellow caching friends. We wanted to give a geo-gift that would continue giving for quite some time. After over three months of paddling, our gift was complete. We hope you enjoy it!!! Have Fun!!!

This cache is one of 100 stand alone caches placed on Lake Lanier as a Christmas gift to our fellow geocachers. Each of the 100 caches contains a letter/number combination. Make sure to write those down. You will need those to solve the 5/5 Island Madness Challenge Cache.

A letterbox hybrid cache.

What is one of the most morale boosting event when you are away from home? Mail call of course. When the Platoon Sergeant walks into the common area with a bag of mail, or on a couple of occasions I showed up with a jingle truck full of the platoons mail. Then it all gets passed out to everyone. The letters that still smell slightly of home or the care packages full of goodies-homemade cookies, store bought goods, a weight set (yes Britt even sent one of those to me before with a 45 lb bar), charcoal grill (yep Brittany again), and many many more wonderful items to bring a little comfort of home to us and a smile to our faces. Mail call is definately a good time.

And what does all mail need to be delivered? Why a stamp of course. inside you will find my first made stamp with stamp pad and a couple of extra bottles on ink if needed.

Now to get to the cache:

-Go to the posted coordinates. N 34° 17.978 W 083° 55.160 You should be standing right next to a tall marker.

-Walk east on the islands southern beach approximately 130 paces until you see the white based pine tree.

-Enter the woods next to the white pine tree and go about thirty feet to the two big pines in line.

- Look to your right and go about 50 feet toward a holly tree.

-See that big rock next to the holly and downed tree? You are there. Stamp your book.

Happy caching and please leave the stamp pad and stamp in the cache.

Congrats to WakeboardLanier for the FTF!!!!!!!!!!!
