These stamps are 2-sided--stamp both sides! Ink in each box, but logbook only in box 1.

THE BIRDS 1963 directed by Alfred Hitchcock, starring Tippi Hedren, Rod Taylor, Jessica Tandy, Suzanne Pleshette, and Veronica Cartwright. Set in Bodega Bay, CA, it depicts the picturesque little town suddenly and for no explanation, besieged by a series of widespread and violent bird attacks. I love this movie! It has action and romance. And Tippi Hedren running all over Bodega Bay after Rod Taylor and away from maniac birds…..in high heels! An amazing feat! Or should I say feet!

REBECCA 1940 directed by Alfred Hitchcock, starring Laurence Olivier, Joan Fontaine and Judith Anderson. Set in Cornwall, England at the DeWinter mansion, Manderley. Maxim DeWinter brings his new bride to Manderley, where she is accepted by all except the housekeeper, Mrs. Danvers. Danvers is still obsessed with the beauty and sophistication of the first Mrs. DeWinter, the late Rebecca. This makes the new Mrs. DeWinter (who doesn’t even get a name in the movie) feel very intimidated. And Danvers also gets her to think that Maxim is still in love with Rebecca. But, like Gone with the Wind, this film has a great line that is uttered by Maxim DeWinter to his new bride—“You thought I loved Rebecca? You thought that? I hated her!”

REAR WINDOW 1954 directed by Alfred Hitchcock, starring James Stewart, Grace Kelly, Wendell Corey, Thelma Ritter, and Raymond Burr. Set in Greenwich Village, NYC. “Jeff” Jefferies is confined to a wheel chair while recuperating from a broken leg. Being bored, he takes to watching his neighbors from the rear window of his apartment. He becomes obsessed with the theory that the neighbor across the courtyard has murdered his wife. It turns out he is right! And then this neighbor tries to murder him! This film is considered to be one of Hitchcock’s best.

These boxes are located on the Paugussett Trail in Shelton. Take either Rte. 111 in Monroe or Rte. 110 in Shelton to East Village Rd. to Longfellow Rd.; Take a right onto Dickinson Dr.; a left onto Little Fox Run; a left onto Okenuck Way; do not turn onto Round Hill Rd, but stop and park at the bottom of Okenuck Way. Trail will be on your right.

Box #1 Enter trail at the oh so lovely raised drain cover. Please be very careful of your footing—there are rocks and branches covered by slippery leaves, and a steep drop. But continue merrily along. Not too far ahead on your left you will see a 2-sister pine tree that has the top of one sister on the ground. Next to the downed sister is a huge boulder. Box #1 is hidden under a smaller boulder that leans against this huge boulder.

Box#2 Continue on trail. Pass a house on your right and another large boulder. Then notice a moss covered boulder on your right. Box #2 is there.

Box #3 Back on the trail, you will almost immediately come upon a tall rotted tree stump on your right. Walk back to the stone wall that you will see. Follow along the wall until you pass the second tree that has a big faded white blotch of paint on it. At this point there is a break in the wall. Box 3 is on the left side of this break, in the bottom of the wall. Sorry not to take you further along the trail, but I was running out of daylight.
