A long time ago, two weary travelers were making their way along the shoreline when they were set upon by a sudden tempest. With nothing but the expanse of the Great Sand Bay around them, they sought frantically for shelter from Lake Superior's violent outburst. Finding a tunnel built through the dune, the pair spent several weary hours waiting out the storm as Owl Creek raged at their feet. By the time the storm had passed the sun had set, leaving behind a star-filled sky. High overhead, a shooting star flung itself toward the horizon, a virescent fire against an ebon sky. . .

From the travelers' tunnel, walk in a southerly direction along the beach to where the dune rises highest. There you will find a small cluster of birch trees with a small cairn of stones at their base. The box lies there. Be discreet and re-hide with care, as this is a well-traveled beach in the warm months.
