In the Winter/Spring of 2011, Highbridge Elementary School was no longer just a dream for the town of New Ipswich, NH, but it became a reality when the doors opened and three schools merged into one. During this time the students of Highbridge decided to adopt the symbol of the Husky as their mascot. And so became the theme for our boxes. We hope you enjoy this story the Highbridge Hill students created for this letterbox.

During construction of Highbridge Hill Elementary School, there was a Husky that had been seen on site many times when the school was being built. The students fell in love with the Husky and took a survey and presented it to the principal of the school, asking if they could have the Husky be the school's official mascot. The principal agreed and we now call him the Highbridge Hill Husky. This Husky tends to get into a lot of mischief, for he is just a puppy. He likes to get into the cafeteria and eat school lunches when he can. It has also been rumored that he has been known to eat student's homework. But this has been hard to prove. During the night we like to keep him in the small fenced in playground so he can't get into trouble. But one day when we got to school he wasn't there, he escaped. Every once in awhile students will catch a glimpse of him running around chasing squirrels or his shadow. We need your help! Can you please help us find our missing Husky?

Clues:

Address: 171 Turnpike Road, New Ipswich, NH

Follow the driveway into Highbridge Hill Elementary School. As you are driving towards the school you will see a “Delivers” sign on the right of the road. Take a left and follow this sign's arrow to the back of the school. There is a small parking lot in the back of the school near the playground, please park here.

Please follow us in taking the same route we think our Husky took in his escape. Start by standing at the gate of the small fenced in playground looking at the larger playground. Cross the road and go down the orange slide twice. Proceed to the Monkey Bars and face the woods. You will see a large boulder at the tree line. Walk into the woods keeping the boulder on your left hand side. Continue straight and you will find a New England made stonewall. Look to your left and you will see a fallen tree that rests on the stone wall. Where the tree is, climb the rocks and get to the other side of the stonewall. With the tree at your back, turn right and take 7 steps along the side of the wall. Be on the look out for a white quartz rock. Here is where you may find what you are looking for. Good Luck and Happy Letterboxing.
