From I-17 and Carefree Highway go east on Carefree Highway. Turn north on 23rd Lane. This road turns into Via Tramonto. Stay on Via Tramonto until the roundabout. Go Through the roundabout and park on the side of the road in front of the sign for the trailhead marked "Sonoran Preserve".

The trail is appropriate for ages 3 and up and you can reach the box in under 20 minutes.

Follow the trail for about 1/4 of a mile. You will come to a "Y" in the trail. Stay left at the "Y" and head uphill. Up ahead you will see a large rock formation. It's about .10 mile. The trail takes you up the left side of it and drops you off right above the rock formation. When you are at the rock formation turn around and face directly uphill. Walk approximately 30 steps uphill until you reach two smaller boulders. The letterbox is behind the larger boulder.

There has been a letterbox placed here before but after many attempts we could not locate it. But, it is a beautiful view so we thought we'd plant our family box here for you to find!

Please be mindful of the animals that may live in the rock formation. Also, we ask that you re hide the box in the same place after you have found it.

Thank you and enjoy the view!
