This letterbox you may find by walking or bicycling and enjoying a beautiful day - or with a drive in your car - it all depends upon how much time you have!

NOTE: If driving, an adult needs to show a Drivers License at one of the two guard booths (The guard may be at the first or second booth depending upon the time of day you choose to do your search). They will ask you where you are going. Kindly indicate you will be walking around the Lederman Center.

.) From Pine Street, cross Kirk Road and head EAST into Fermilab.
.) As you pass the first guard booth, admire the beautiful sprawling prairie. If biking, stop and listen to the wind rustling the grasses and the leaves in the trees. The leaves of the tall cottonwood trees make a wonderful sound, and they're RIGHT along the path!
.) Look for the circular Minos building on your RIGHT, and continue past that.
.) At the second guard booth, make a RIGHT into the parking lot for the Leon Lederman Science Center.
.) Park your car or bike
.) Head towards the path that flows to the building, but take a side trip and walk in the grass and pass the pond on your left. If visiting in warm weather, see if you can hear the frogs croaking.
.) Turn and head towards the covered wagon and be sure to watch the prairie as you walk - it is especially beautiful in autumn!
.) Once you reach the covered wagon, sneak a peak inside, but do not climb on or into the wagon.
.) Walk around and admire the canvas cover and the cool wheels.
.) Finally, head towards the Lederman Center.
.) Walk up the steps
.) From the secondary door on your LEFT, count FIVE (5) brick pillars. HINT: the fifth one is AFTER the one with the electrical box.
.) While facing the 5th brick pillar, look around the WEST corner of the pillar, down towards the ground.
.) What's that sticking up a touch in the inside corner?? Dig a bit to find what you seek!
.) Please be sure to cover it back up leaving only a touch showing!
.) If visiting during business hours, go inside and have a look around the Lederman Science Center and see what else you can discover!
