Your quest begins at the base of the old "Church" steps.
Look to your left and follow the road that has a bridge. At the stop sign, make a right down the pedestrian road. Make a left into the Battery 112 Trail. Stop and read the sign about this battery, it contains some intersting information. Look in the direction that the barrell of the gun is pointing above the sailor. Find the two tree's that form two V's. Climb the little hill and find an old fallen log. In its hallows you will find your prize. Please re-hide carefully and cover with the fallen branches.
If you continue up the trail, you will find what is pictured in the sign.
