We spend a week Just doWn the road from this park every summer. It’s one of our favorite trips. We fish in the bay, kayak doWn the shoreline and Eat Lots of pasties! In the evenings we often go for “deer rides” where we drive down all the Local country roadS looking for deer and other wildlife. It’s become a competition between different families as to who can Spot the most deer. On Top of looking for numbers we Are also on the lookouT for the big bucks. Whether you hunt or not there’s somEthing sPectacular about seeing a big buck. To find the locAtion of the big buck you seek, caRefully read this introduction and taKe note of the words containing inappropriately capitalized letters. Those random capitalized letters will reveal the message you need to find the clues starting place.

Disclaimer: There is a daily fee for out of state vehicles, in state vehicles also a small fee but it’s good for the year and is a great deal! We do not know the rules and regulations of hunting in this park (if it’s allowed at all), please contact the park for information on hunting.

At this park, there is a long parking lot for day visitors, park at the far end of it. You will want to go and see what the CCC’s been up to. At the post follow #12. After admiring what the CCC built, walk west if you wish to view the lake, and then continue on the trail towards #13. Pass another structure—more work by the CCC? Could the buck be hiding in some of the wind damaged trees? Clip clop clip clop…sounds like the buck ran across the bridge just ahead of you. Are those antlers hiding behind the roots of the downed tree? Maybe it would be best to sit and wait for the buck to come back, this looks like a good spot! CRASH!! Sounds like the buck just got up and ran further down the trail. Be on the lookout for the blue pathways triangles, on the right you will find one on a three trunked dead tree. From the three trunked dead tree go 108 steps. Look down the alleyway at 350 degrees, it’s the perfect opening and the buck is standing in it. Take aim and go collect your prize, it is laying 20 steps ahead in a small pile of brush between a large birch and a cedar tree. Please rehide well placing the long, flat piece of log back on top. Continue down the trail a few more minutes and you will end up back at the parking lot.
