DIRECTIONS
Take Rt 34 onto NORTH RACEBROOK ROAD. Follow this across several major intersections. Be careful to bear left when you come to the merge with Center Street. (The sign is crooked!)Look for Indian Trail Road, and take a right. Be looking for the wooden sign and trailhead on the right after passing two or three dead end roads.
Park and head on to the Blue Blazed Trail. You might want to meet two of the Pixie Hollow characters and Lewis and Clark while you are here.
CLUES
Follow the blue trail toward Wepawaug Falls. TJ was really sharp-eyed the day that we planted this box, and noticed several yellow-jacket hives in the ground. CAUTION: TAKE THE BRANCH OF THE BLUE TRAIL THAT IS FARTHEST AWAY FROM THE STREAM to avoid them, until you can clearly hear the falls.
There is a small pool formed by a rock dam at the base of the falls. Cross the dam and look directly up the hill to see a tree with a light green blaze. As you get closer, you will notice that the tree also has a yellowish blaze. Head toward that tree. To its right is another tree with a strange "ridge" in its bark. WATERFALLS THIRTY (Wepawaug Falls) is at the base of the tree under rocks.
