Start at the camp host site. Take the woodsy path to the left of this site, passing by two outhouses on your left. The path ends at the outerloop of campsites. Follow along the odd number campsites in ascending order until you come to a nature trail where no bikes are allowed. Take this trail. Very soon you will cross a wooden bridge. After the bridge take the trail to your left. Follow this to the incredible sand dune that rises over 200 feet! If you are feeling energetic, we highly recommend climbing this dune for the stunning view at the top, but you do not need to do this to find the letterbox!
Standing at the base of this dune and facing the top, look to your right for trail post 3 which has a map of the trails. To the immediate left of this post is a trail which a park guide told us is the most beautiful trail in the park. Turn so your back is to the post and this trail. Look across the path for a large tree which has a single trunk at the base but splits into two trunks as it goes up. The letterbox is hidden behind this tree under some bark and sticks. Please try to recover with the bark as we are not sure how visible it will be when the leaves are gone in the winter months. THANKS!
