Watervliet is nestled in the Michigan Fruit Belt, between Chicago & Detroit along I-94 (exit 41). Downtown features an old fashioned Main St. with antique stores and gift shops. Paw Paw Lakes are nearby for boating, swimming, water skiing and fishing. They host an annual Independence Weekend Celebration and Hayes Park for year 'round activities. The Watervliet High School mascot is the Panthers.

This not so fierce letterbox is located in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery just West of town on Red Arrow Highway.
Enter at the East entrance. HUGHES on right, BULL on left. Continue forward, then turn away from the rules. Turn again at the heart. Stop at BERKY mauseleum. Take the path on the left past CHAPUT.
St. Francis of Assisi guards the friendly Watervliet "panther".
