Originally placed by Team Red Dragon and adopted in August 2011 by roscoe45.

This letterbox is an easy hike over easy terrain.

There and Back is 3 Miles
Loop around Carr's Pond is 4 Miles

To get to the Carr’s Pond entrance, take Route 95 South to Exit 6A and a left on Hopkin’s Hill Road. Continue across Division Road. After passing a pond on your left you will start going up a hill. Just before the top of the hill is a gravel parking lot on the left.

To begin the hunt for the letterbox, look for the boulder at the back/right side of the lot, this is where the trail starts. You will notice red blazes/rings on the trees. Keep following the red. Keep an eye out for an old station wagon and take a right and then a left. Continue straight at next intersection. At 4 way again stay straight and follow orange/red blazes. Crossover a two log bridge. When you find a stump on your left and a tree with an orange dot on your right turn left and follow orange dots. At T intersection turn right onto gravel road.(Boulder on left with arrow pointing back the way you came, Pond will be in front of you.) Go past a tree graveyard on the right and an old pump station on your left. Pass by 2 paths heading to the pond and look for a tree on the left that is curving toward the road. Take 40 steps to boulder on right. Go to stone wall and head east to the corner. Inside corner is where the box is.

You can now go back the way you came or follow the road around the pond and back to the boulder with the arrow. I recommend the loop around the pond.
