The Blacksburg Deerfield Trail is 0.7 of a mile one way in length and located alongside the Tom’s Creek.
Tom continued to walk along on the Blacksburg Deerfield Trail. After exploring the bridge that went over the creek, Tom noticed that the trail passed through some beautiful woods with some natural trails coming off of the Deerfield trail. Upon reaching the end of the paved trail Tom was quite saddened, as his walk was halfway over. Tom turned around to walk back to the beginning of the trail, when a squirrel caught his eye and Tom sat on the nearest bench to wait quietly for the squirrel to return. The next animal Tom found was 70 degrees in front of him and down a natural trail. Standing at the beginning of this natural trail, Tom solved the puzzle, and found an animal which revealed why this trail is named the "Deerfield Trail".
