While flying happily through the state park, a dragonfly was spotted by a little boy with a butterfly net. The boy chased the dragonfly through the park, trying to catch it. Eventually the dragonfly found a hiding spot. The little boy got tired of looking and went away. The dragonfly sat so still for so long in his hiding spot, that he got carved into a stamp.

Enter Ludington State Park
Drive down to end to the Hamlin Lake Parking Lot and park by Parks Concession. The trail leaves the north end of the parking lot near the shore. Walk five minutes to the junction where the Island Trail turns off. Continue straight.
Enter the Lost Lake trail.
There will be a playground to your left. Continue on trail. At Marker 12, continue straight on Lost Lake Trail. Turn right onto wooden bridge. You will see a sign that says "No vehicles, bicycles or roller blades beyond this point". Here the little boy saw a lot of dragonflies, and a lot of minnows. At A+Y continue to right. Follow the boardwalk to the end. You will be in the forest.
Turn right. (Campground will be on your left.)
There is a bulletin board - you can sometimes get a map here.
Continue straight at the Lighthouse split. Go to steps.
Sit on the bench and look up the stairs. Look to your left about 30 degrees.
Crawl under fallen tree "arch."
Walk back to double fallen trees. You will find the box buried about six foot from the end of the far side of the first tree. It is about 48 paces away.
