The following clues are math related, so you may want to brush up on your math skills. The climb can be challenging and give yourself a couple hours.

Clues: (Reported as waterlogged. Stamp was separated and journal ruined. If you visit, please bring extra ziploc bags and a blank journal, if possible, to refurbish. Thank you.

From where cars drive around an ellipse of sorts, follow the Road (a compound of red and yellow) to Mt. Cardigan State Forest. You may find a trail map of the West Side Hiking Trails in the shelter.

To begin your ascent, climb "2 to the 3rd" horizontal poles up and follow the blaze the same color as the Road you first followed to the State Forest. You’ll walk over three sets of prime numbers of horizontal poles before you come to a right angle in the trail. Continue to follow the trail over a horizontal pole, then over a set of the first double-digit prime number. At the point where the trails are perpendicular, follow West Ridge Trail to Tower. Keep stepping over sets of horizontal poles. You’ll come to a large flat rock with a "slope of approximately 2/3". Then watch out for all the “roots.” Eventually, you’ll climb to a bridge with the number of slats equal to the "product of 3 and 4" and another that looks like two parallel lines. Bear slightly left and up stone stairs to rock faces. Follow over Cliffs Bridge. Arrive at the first cairn with a wooden arrow. Turn counterclockwise at about a "right angle" and continue to follow orange blaze to a lttle clearing and a pretty view. As you ascend, you’ll be greeted by more cairns and the tower comes into view. At the 13th cairn with the wooden trail markers and NCC, CAD, and GCB 24 are at your feet, set a heading of 300° and take the "square root of 529" paces to a small boulder. At the "degree equivalent to the sum of the interior angles of a triangle," take "thirty-five 7ths" paces to the package lying beneath the Christmas tree concealed behind a white stone that resembles a convex quadrilateral. Please remove and return stone with extreme care as to not disturb foliage and conceal letterbox well. You’ve earned an A+.

Catch your breath and enjoy the views before you descend the rocky slopes back the way you came.
