North Mesa Picnic Ground has been a meeting area in Los Alamos for sometime now. They recently added a frisbee golf course throughout the picnic grounds. The horse stables are nearby as well and the county ball fields. Great place to have a little fun within the township.

The stamp is based on the book Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol, all adaptations of this novel are worthy of watching or reading.

Directions to Picnic Ground:

Drive to Los Alamos, New Mexico by following NM 502 North from Pojaque. Continue through town and at the intersection of Trinity Drive (502) and Diamond turn RIGHT, Continue on Diamond to the large round-about. Continue straight through the roundabout onto North Mesa Rd. Just at the top of the hill you will see a huge water tower with a Hawk on it, turn LEFT just after this into the picnic grounds and locate the furthest covered picnic tables from N Mesa Rd. Follow the hints from here.

After Locating the furthest picnic tables closest to the canyon edge take 40 PACES towards the canyon (North).
Here you will find frisbee golf station number 4.
Take another 40 PACES NORTH towards the canyon once again ( A faint trail meanders its way towards the canyon.)
Now you will see a TALL ponderosa with a SCAR that wraps around it.
The box sits infront of the rock at the base of this tree under a SPOR.
