This is Not a geocache: please do not take the stamp and leave no trinkets.
Bring your own ink.
Bosque Redondo( Circling Woods) is the site of the old cavalry fort, Ft. Sumner. Here is where the Navajo and Mescalero Apaches were kept after being rounded up by the troops of Kit Carson under orders of General Carleton. See here: http://www.nmmonuments.org/bosque-redondo
Directions:
I-40 to Santa Rosa to Ft. Sumner Village. Take Hwy 60/84 3 miles east of the village of Fort Sumner, then south 3.5 miles on Billy the Kid Road which is well-marked with historic markers.
Clues: crostica
Navajo walk soulless in dust eastward.
Oh, Fort Sumner is ghastly. No traditions, enemies near.
Please do not let others see you snag or rehide the letterbox. Please rehide exactly where you found it and cover it completely, making sure the covering stones blend in naturally instead of looking like a suspicious pile of rocks. Throw some dirt and bark on top.
Thanks for playing.
