The annual VFW Rodeo has been held for more than 65 years on the first weekend in July at the VFW's rodeo grounds just north of Wimberley. Once the largest outdoor rodeo in the world, the event still ranks near the top and features many events, including bull riding, calf roping, bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, women's barrel racing, mutton bustin and calf scrambles, all followed by fireworks. It is a great place to take the family, just like the Hike & Bike Trail nearby where this box is located.

Directions:
From Wimberley go north on RR 3237 about 1 mile to just before Winters Mill Parkway and turn left into gravel parking lot for the hike & bike trail.

Clues:
Walk right on the gravel trail as it soon follows Winters Mill Pkwy to the 1.5 mile marker. Go right up to the end of the guard rail along the road and reach inside top metal rail behind wood post for letterbox resting on top support tube. Reach from the right side and be discreet.
