Highlawn Forest

I’ve had these boxes ready to go for over a year. I’ve been trying to find a place close to home to plant them where folks with small kids could get them. Hope this is ok.

From parking area start your hike at the kiosk. You can scan a map into your smart phone if you have one. This hike was made with small kids in mind. Boxes are close to the trail so please make sure they are well covered. I think this trail is doable with a three wheeled stroller. The trail is pretty flat with only one small rocky section.
This took me about 35 minutes to plant boxes, so with kids figure two hours…..only kidding.

One logbook in last box.

From kiosk on the left side of the building named Stanley, take the blue trail.
Pass first Discovery Trail on right
Pass second Discovery Trail on right
After passing that trail, just before the next blue blazed tree on left, look right to the two sister tree with the large rock next to it. Box one-Baby Mya is behind tree.

Continue on blue past a wooden viewing station. The trail gets a little rocky for a very short distance.
At the next trail on right (Camilia’s Trail) go forward on blue approximately 52 paces. Look to the right for a two sister with a bumpy bottom on the right a little off trail. Box 2-Diaper Bag is behind the tree.

Back on blue to junction of blue and blue/green-Ruth’s Crossover. Take a right onto Ruth’s and at the second blue/green blazed tree on right stop and look to your left for a long rock and a smaller one leaning on it right next to the trail. Look in crevasse between rocks on the backside. Toddler Mya is there.

If you have kids with you I’d plan on heading back the way you came to your car….
