This series was created to celebrate my FAVORITE ARTIST, Keith Haring, and for his 54th birthday which just passed.

History:
Keith Haring was born May 4, 1958 in Reading, Pennsylvania. He moved to New York City in 1978, and began using the city as his canvas, making chalk drawings in subway stations. In 1982, he had his first New York one-man show at the Shafrazi Gallery. A critical success, he soon became one of most popular artists of the time. He passed away on February 16, 1990, of AIDS-related complications. And this short bio does NOT do him justice whatsoever.

Clues:

Three-Eyed Monster: Travel down behind Pace's Steakhouse (I think you can take the car down Wynn Lane). Cross the parking lot to a huge Forest Goddess (seriously never seen a tree so big! She's a 16-sister Maple!) After marveling at this natural wonder standing alone in the middle of a field, walk behind it and look straight ahead, into the woods. A tree with the perfect hiding place, next to a stump, is where this monster hides. Recover with natural materials. Use stealth, as always!

Barking Dog: Stroll down Main Street and check out the shops. Turn left onto East Broadway. Walk behind the Port Jefferson Village Center (aka the big red building). Let the top of the anchor point your way. Walk down the steps, keeping the beautiful view of Long Island Sound on your left. Walk toward the "Ship Builders of Port Jefferson" and from there, go left around the men counting 87 steps down the path closest to the water, to "Fran & Dom Juliano's rock". This is a fork that leads to the same path, I chose left. Walk past the long dock all the way to the end of the path. Turn left at "Marti's Rock" and walk down toward water. Before you pass it, near the barrier on the left. A flat rock you seek.

Enjoy the area. It's great for dogs and to just sit and take in a beautiful day. Be careful on a hot day though! The sun can be quite radiant.
