An Eagle sits high on a rock upon the entrance into Sag Harbor. He guards a pond that otters were known to inhabit years ago.
Your journey to this letterbox starts at this monument. Behind the Eagle is a Flag pole. Walk to the flag pole facing the water. Now face to the right and step 30 paces until you reach a huge Pine Tree. It is a Sag Harbor Girl Scout tradition to adorn this tree at Christmastime with bird friendly ornaments made by the girls.
Beneath the pine tree under a piece of slate and some rocks, this letterbox can be found. Please be discreet, and re-cover the box carefully.
