This box can be found in Pike Lake State Park. Take hwy 41 northwest of Milwaukee to hwy 60. Go west towards Hartford. Go past hwy CC about 1/2 mile to Powder Hill rd. Turn left on Powder Hill rd and go about .3 miles to the Nature Trail Parking Area, which will be a left turn. Park in the lot. This is where your journey begins. You will need a compass.

Go to the east end of the parking lot to the post marking the blue/brown trail. Go right on the blue/brown trail a ways, past the gravel bike trail, and past where the blue/ brown trail goes left. Keep going straight to the second trail that goes left. This will be the white trail. It is right before the road. Take this trail left, up the big big hill, past the bench to the intersection and map. Continue ahead as the trail curves slightly to the left (going east). You will come to the sign for the Astronomy Trail. Follow the arrow, going across the road.

You will now be on the Astronomy Trail. Stop and read about our own star, then continue on to The Hot One, The Goddess of Love, Our Own Lovely Home, and The Red One. Continue to follow the Astronomy Trail as it curves left and becomes the blue trail. Visit The One With the Red Spot, read about The Beautiful Ringed One, walk on to The One Tipped on it's Side, travel to The Very Blue One with 13 Friends. Travel on to infinity and beyond, until you reach The Demoted One. Farther along, at the Y intersection with the map and bench, continue on ahead onto the blue/brown trail as it curves to the left(going north). Travel onward past the first memorial bench on your right. Keep traveling to the next memorial bench, which will be on your left.

Sit on the bench. To your left, at about 230 degrees, is a pile of asteroids about 6 paces away. Look behind and slightly under the largest asteroid.

Please cover box carefully. Then continue forward on the same path back to the parking lot. Total hike-about 1 1/2 miles.

Pike Lake State Park has miles of hiking trails, a swimming beach, picnic areas, and a tower. State Park sticker or daily fee needed to park.
