This letterbox is part of the 2012 Roads to Freedom program, and is available from June 1, 2012 – September 3, 2012. To participate in the full program, please pick up your free Civil War Journal (program guide) from any Adams County Library or at the Historic Train Station in downtown Gettysburg.
This letterbox is located in Ranch Trail Commons (Carroll Valley Borough). It is 0.49 miles in distance and is rated "easy" by Roads to Freedom standards.
The directions to this one are easy as there are not too many places to roam!
Start by the flagpole and walk on the cement path past the playgrounds.
When you reach the gravel path, turn either left or right. The direction you go really doesn’t matter.
Continue until you find your artifact along the edge of the path.
You may turn around and return the way you came, or continue along the oval path to your vehicle.
