This letterbox is part of the 2012 Roads to Freedom program, and is available from June 1, 2012 â September 3, 2012. To participate in the full program, please pick up your free Civil War Journal (program guide) from any Adams County Library or at the Historic Train Station in downtown Gettysburg.
This letterbox is located at Norm Weaver Memorial Park (Bonneauville Borough). It is 0.32 miles in distance and is rated "easy" by Roads to Freedom standards.
Start by entering the park by the rock bearing the memorial plaque. Take note of the date on which the park was dedicated to Norm Weaver.
Turn left on the paved path and continue to the 1st intersection.
Turn right and proceed to the next âTâ intersection. Turn right and continue following the paved path.
On your right you will notice a large building with three openings in it. Walk to the corner of this building closest to the trees. Keep the trees on your left.
Behind this building you will notice a wood rail fence. Starting at the left corner of this fence, count until you reach the ___ th vertical post (the date on which the park was dedicated).
The artifact you seek should be in front of this vertical post.
