Sportsmen's Park LbNA #61701 (ARCHIVED)

Sportsmen's Park is located in East Jordan just before (or just after) the bridge that connects the Jordan River to the branch of Lake Charlevoix. It's a great place to go fishing and take in the wild life. If you look closely during the right times of the year you will see a couple bald eagle's nests from the big deck. I have canoed and kayaked this river and have gotten out at this park a couple times. On a kayaking trip, I went all the way into Lake Charlevoix though. Super fun! Park in the designated area near the restrooms. Take the sidewalk to the huge deck at the end overlooking the Jordan River. Bruce's last name has how many letters? Multiply that by 13. From the plaque, walk that many steps. Notice the platform on the right. When you take that first step, you will be standing on the box. Sit on the platform with your feet on the sidewalk. Reach under the step on the left. You may have to get on hands and knees to reach it but please be discreet. Please use caution when retrieving and replacing. This park is home to wildlife, including the creepy, crawly, maybe even poisonous kinds.
