Dante's Inferno is the first part of Dante Alighieri's 14th-century epic poem Divine Comedy. It is followed by Purgatory and Paradise and is an allegory telling the journey of Dante through the medieval concept of Hell, guided by the Roman poet Virgil. Hell is depicted as nine circles of suffering located within the Earth for sinners, and Purgatory is for people who sinned but prayed for forgiveness before their deaths. Though this box is located on Dante's Trail in Upper Purgatory Creek Park, hopefully your experience will be more like Paradise.

Directions:
From I35 take Wonder World Drive west for about 2 miles to Craddock Ave. Turn left then right on a gravel road about 0.5 mile to parking area for Upper Purgatory Creek Park.

Clues:
Walk on trail to first intersection and go right on Dante's Trail to next intersection with Paraiso Trail. Continue straight on Dante's Trail for 95 steps to a multi-trunk oak tree 5 steps off trail on the right. Letterbox is at back base under rocks. Please replace as described. You can return via the Paraiso Trail.
