Head north from Sparta on the 27 in the direction of Black River Falls. If you start at the High School, you will travel about 8 miles. Turn west onto the 71 towards Melrose. After 500 yards you will see the Wegner Grotto on the left hand side of the road. Park your car in front of the grotto. Staying on the same side, walk back on the road towards the 27 alongside the guard rail. You cross over the creek which runs under the road and will see that the guard rail finishes in a round eye. Look down through the eye and you will see the 4 round stones that cover the letterbox.
