This stamp was generously donated by Scuba Steve 22 to my Cedar Hill Cemetery scavenger hunt a few years ago when we had a Mark Twain theme. I still had the stamp in my possession, and I thought it should be shared. :)
This is the same starting point as Bear Hill Bears and More Memories, the Mattabesset Trail in Middletown off Aircraft Road.
Hike north on the trail, crossing the blue/yellow alternate trail a few times. You will come to a point when you're at the top of an overlook with a fire pit, and you'll see that the blue/yellow and blue trails join together for just a little while and you're following two sets of blazes. Descend a steep ledge and notice, when you get to the bottom, that there's a ledgy pile on your right.
Mark Twain is behind a slanted rock in this pile of ledge.
If you come to the point where the trails split apart again, you've gone too far.
Happy hunting!
