Pedernales Falls State Park is located along the Pedernales River in the Texas Hill Country just 9 miles outside of Johnson City on FM 2766. The Falls is the park's main attraction, but other activities include camping, picnicking, hiking, river swimming, mountain biking, fishing and bird watching. Wildlife in the park is typical of the Texas Hill Country and includes white-tailed deer, coyotes, rabbits, armadillos, skunks, opossums and raccoons. There are about 150 species of birds that have been seen in the park, and about one-third of these are permanent residents. So come enjoy the park while looking for this box.

Clues:
After stopping at headquarters to pay entrance fee, drive to the parking lot for the swimming area. Follow the path that goes past the restrooms down to the swimming area go on down and enjoy a dip in the nice cool water. After enjoying your swim head back up the steps to the bridge….if your lucky and it is spring time you will see some very pretty flowers that have drawn many different species of butterflies to the area. Head up the steps making sure to keep count because at the 42nd step you will need to look to the right and see the post for the split rail fence. At the base of the post you will see a pile of rocks where the Butterfly kisses are hiding.

All items are inside sandwich baggies to keep them from getting damp please place all items back as you found them so that others can enjoy the fun….if the box or the items within are in need of replacing please let me know. Please make sure no one sees you uncover the box & make sure to re-cover well.
