Well, no, you won't find the sandwich but you might understand how flour was ground years ago at the Bonneyville Mill. If you go during "working" hours (May-October Wednesday thru Sunday, 10: a.m. --5:00 p.m.) you will see the process. By, the way, the mill is part of a wonderful park so you might want to bring along a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to enjoy on a picnic. Your journey begins on main street (state road 13) Middlebury. Go north on Bristol Street (which is also C.R. 8) approximately 4.2 miles. There will be a sign that says Bonneyville Park next right. Where you actually turn, the Bonneyville Park sign is to the left but you turn to the right. You also see a road sign that says C.R.131 and points to the left. After you turn you will see an old country school on your left. Continue until you come to the parking lot. Begin your walk by crossing the foot bridge. At the Feedlot Shelter sign turn left. Just beyond the shelter turn right. Beyond the hosta plants are some rocks where you will find the letterbox hidden under a rock. By the way, don't forget to visit the mill. It is just beyond the windmill across the road.
