NOTE FROM CALLI-K: With 4Dtoes’ blessing I have adopted this series. Please contact me with information about the condition of the containers, stamps, and log books so I can do maintenance when it's needed. Because Box #2 went missing I made a new box and did my best to carve the stamp from the original 4Dtoes image that I have in my log book.

You can get all three boxes with almost no elevation gain and a walk of about 1-1/2 miles total. Please use EXTREME CAUTION as this is rattlesnake country.

DIRECTIONS: From Highway 97 on the north side of Terrebonne go west on Lower Bridge Rd. Continue on Lower Bridge Rd. until you descend down to "Lower Bridge". Just before you cross the bridge you will see the Borden F. Beck Wildlife Preserve on your left. Park here.

CLUES:
Letterbox #1- The Fisherman
Head upriver on the part of the trail that is maintained by the Redmond Area Parks and Recreation District and enjoy the wildlife and the beautiful scenery. A pipe up the hill, boulders along the path. Continue on this trail until you come to a HUGE rock island in the river at approximately 210° and a trail heading up the hillside. Notice the hole in the rocks above on this trail. Ascend this trail to those rocks and look through the hole up river. Take note of what you see as this is your destination. A small cave. Seek your treasure to the left. PLEASE DON'T PILE ROCKS ON TOP OF THE BOX - you should be able to hide it back totally out of sight without leaving a rock on top to smash it. SCATTER DUFF TO MAKE IT LOOK NATURAL.

Letterbox #2- The Catch (carved by Calli-K using original 4Dtoes image and placed in new location 11/03/2012).
From Letterbox #1 you can continue on a short ways to the end of the trail where #2 used to be located (it went missing sometime during 2012). Because of the house with a deck that overlooks this area and erosion at the original box location, I decided not to put the replacement box here. Instead, head back towards your car and find a spot on the trail where you can stand facing the river and see the HUGE rock island at 155 degrees, Lower Bridge at 240 degrees. Behind you there is a formation of pinnacle rocks. "The Catch" is behind a boulder on the west side of the pinnacle rocks, a short ways up the hillside.

Letterbox #3- The Crawfish
Now head back to the parking area. From the parking area either drive or walk down the road and across the bridge. Look for a trail heading down river marked with a gate and a sign that reads "Do not block." Head down the path. Count telephone poles to 4. Face the fourth. Behind you on your right is a tree with a stump on its side. "The Crawfish" awaits at the base of the stump under rocks. PLEASE DON'T PILE ROCKS ON TOP OF THE BOX - you should be able to hide it back totally out of sight without leaving a rock on top to smash it. SCATTER DUFF TO MAKE IT LOOK NATURAL.
