The Sovereign Nation of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana is a federally recognized Native American Tribe with approximately 865 members. The Coushatta people live primarily in Louisiana, with most living in Allen Parish, just north of the town of Elton, Louisiana, and east of Kinder, Louisiana.
Most people only know of the Coushatta tribe through the Coushatta Casino Resort. This Casino is located north of Kinder.
I made this box in honor of the people of the this great tribe.
To find this box go to the corner of 4th and 9th Steet in Kinder. This location is west of the Highway 165, which is the main road in Kinder.
You will find a small park with some military items and a gazebo. There is a marker at the front of this park with the words "Blue Star Memorial Highway". Once you have located this park, walk to the Gazebo. Facing highway 165 and the Gazebo you will see a set of stairs that leads up to the Gazebo. Look under this staircase and you will find what you seek. Please rehide well and let me know how this box is doing.
Good Luck and Happy Letterboxing!
